In June 2019, an eighteen-year-old artist named Jacob died after a two-week coma.
He was Hella Sketchy. He was signed to Atlantic Records. His label believed he would be bigger than Justin Bieber. He didn't make it to twenty.
The systems meant to elevate young creative people are also the systems that are killing them.
Cupid Soldiers Animation exists because the documentary cannot be the only response. We make narrative IP about mental health, music, and the kids who survived — by, for, and in service of them.
